Cash on Delivery Terms

Terms and conditions governing Cash on Delivery (COD) orders placed on the Maazu platform.

Effective: 23 March 2026Maazu
1

Overview

Maazu offers Cash on Delivery (COD) as a payment option, allowing you to pay for your order in cash at the time of delivery. By selecting COD at checkout, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.

💵 Please keep the exact change ready at the time of delivery. Our delivery partners may not always carry change, and orders paid with excess cash cannot be refunded on the spot.

2

COD Eligibility

Cash on Delivery is available subject to the following conditions:

  • Your delivery address falls within Maazu's active service pincodes. Check Delivery Zones.
  • Your order value does not exceed the COD limit (see Section 4)
  • Your account does not have a history of repeated COD non-payment or order refusals
  • COD availability may vary by time of day or operational conditions — the app will indicate if COD is unavailable at checkout

Maazu reserves the right to restrict or withdraw COD availability for any user or delivery zone at its sole discretion.

3

Payment at Delivery

When you place a COD order:

  • You must be present at the delivery address and have the exact order amount in cash
  • Payment must be made in full to the delivery partner before the order is handed over
  • Our delivery partners are not authorised to accept partial payments or post-dated arrangements
  • A digital receipt will be sent to you via SMS and/or in-app notification after payment is confirmed

📦 The delivery partner will not leave the order without receiving full payment. If you are unavailable or unable to pay, the order will be returned and treated as a failed delivery.

4

Order Limits

COD is available for orders up to ₹2,000 per transaction. Orders exceeding this amount must be paid via UPI, credit/debit card, or net banking.

Maazu may revise COD order limits at any time. The current applicable limit will always be displayed clearly at checkout before you confirm your order.

5

Failed COD Payments

A COD payment is considered failed if:

  • You are unavailable at the delivery address when the partner arrives
  • You refuse to accept or pay for the order at delivery
  • You are unable to pay the full order amount in cash

In such cases, the order will be returned to our facility. Failed COD deliveries are logged on your account. Repeated failures may result in:

  • Temporary or permanent removal of the COD option from your account
  • Mandatory prepayment for future orders
  • Account review or suspension in cases of suspected misuse
6

Refunds on COD Orders

Since no payment is collected until delivery, COD orders that are cancelled before dispatch require no refund — nothing has been charged.

If a COD order is eligible for a refund after delivery (e.g. wrong item, damaged product, missing item), the refund will be issued as:

  • Maazu Wallet credits (Coming Soon) — processed within 24 hours of approval (recommended for fastest resolution)
  • Bank transfer — available on request; requires you to provide your bank account details and may take up to 7 business days

✅ To request a refund on a COD order, go to Profile My Orders within 24 hours of delivery and raise an issue with the affected item(s).

7

COD Suspension

Maazu may suspend COD access on your account temporarily or permanently in the following circumstances:

  • Two or more failed COD deliveries within a 30-day period
  • Evidence of placing COD orders with no intent to pay
  • Abusive behaviour towards delivery partners
  • Violation of any section of our Terms & Conditions

If you believe your COD access has been suspended in error, please contact our support team at contact@maazu.store and we will review your case within 48 hours.
